Nature Coast Soccer Club is proud to announce an exciting new chapter in our continued growth and commitment to excellence! As our club expands and our programs evolve, we’re taking a step forward to strengthen our coaching structure and elevate the player experience across all levels.

We’re thrilled to officially welcome Coach Jake Lake as our new Director of Coaching and Coach Fulton Gomez as our new Technical Director — two exceptional leaders who will help guide Nature Coast SC into its next era.

⚽ Coach Jake Lake – Director of Coaching

Jake brings a wealth of experience across youth, high school, college, and club soccer. Since beginning his coaching journey in 2009 with Clarkston Heat, Jake has worked with teams from U10 through U23, gaining a deep understanding of player development at every stage.

His career includes:

• Assistant Coach at Clarkston High School (JV & Varsity)

• Head Coach of the Intercollegiate Soccer Club at Lewis Clark State College

• Founder and Head Coach at Goblin FC, a competitive development program

• Coaching roles with Libertyville FC and Football Club of Lake County

A lifelong player and passionate Manchester United supporter, Coach Jake continues to play in men’s leagues and remains deeply connected to the game. He holds a USSF National D License and is dedicated to helping players reach their full potential both on and off the field.

⚽ Coach Fulton Gomez – Technical Director

With over 23 years of coaching experience, Coach Fulton brings proven leadership, passion, and technical expertise to Nature Coast SC. His extensive background spans club, academy, and high school soccer throughout Central Florida.

Highlights of his career include:

• Director of Coaching (Recreational Soccer) – Big Sun Youth Soccer League

• Director of Girls Coaching – Ocala Premier Soccer Club

• Elite Coach – Central Florida United

• Competitive Coach – Ocala Premier Soccer Club

At the high school level, Coach Fulton has developed a reputation as a transformational leader. He led the Lake Weir High School Girls team from 2022–2024, then transitioned to the Lake Weir Boys Team, guiding them to a district championship in his first season. His previous stops include Forest High School, Trinity Catholic (state roundup & district titles), Westport, and Vanguard High.

Coach Fulton holds his USSF National D License, as well as United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 1 & 2 certifications. His coaching philosophy emphasizes creative expression, technical mastery, and developing intelligent, confident players who love the game for life.
